Last year, Maruti Suzuki shifted its Ciaz model to Nexa. This Sedan model of car from Maruti suzuki was introduced as top model car but with this festive season Maruti Suzuki has bought its mid range model with top quality features and experience as well.This mid range starts from 8.19Lakhs with its Sigma 1.5T model.
DESIGN:
The latest mid range Ciaz sedan model comes in 11 model variants across two type of engine options (seven petrol, four diesel) and also we have variant of seven colours. Lookwise, the new Ciaz gets a revised design with new grille design and a chrome strip on top that is bounded by redesigned headlamps. The projector headlamp units get horizontal LED daytime running lights while the front bumper has a subtle update with circular fog lamps and a faux brushed metal finish surround.The wheels have also got changed with all new update.At the back, we get new bumper which is just revised design over past styles and also we get to see new design signature on rear headlamps.
Coming to interior side of the car, cabin is same as previous we get to see some of the minor changes. We have two tone dashboard that is updated and finished well. At dashboard we have the infointment display that is 4.2 inch TFT display and also we get to see many new information over dashboard. The 4.2 inches of diplay has lots of features included in it like music system, bluetooth, navigation and USB connectivity, and smartphone integration.Other feature list we get to see inside are keyless entry, auto AC, rear AC vents push/start stop, cruise control, electric mirrors, centre arm rest, driver height adjustment, automatic headlamps, reverse parking sensors (standard). For safety measures we have front seat-belt reminder and speed alert system. In safety features we have dual airbags and ABS braking system with EBD included across all variants.
ENGINE:
All new Ciaz model comes up with 1.5-litre K15B petrol motor which produces 103bhp at 6,000rpm and 138Nm at 4,400rpm. There are four-cylinder motor which is matched up to a five-speed manual and automatic transmissioon upto four speed.On the other hand the diesel model continues to be the same and tested 1.3-litre DDiS bringing out 89bhp and 200Nm. Both the model of engines get Maruti’s SHVS hybrid system as common.It is claimed for petrol engine to have fuel efficiency of 21.56kmpl (21.28 for AT model) and the oil burner returns an average efficiency of 28.09kmpl.
